The Fiberary

A personal blog about clothes, fiber arts, librarianship, books, and occasional bad poetry.

The gardening learning curve

Could probably have been less steep if I had done more reading before diving right on into growing things. However, I have still had luck so far with some of my veggies– behold!

One of these things is not like the others
I couldn’t resist taking some of the tomatoes a little too early, so they’re going to sit next to a banana to fix that

The fruits of my (possibly ill-advised? Certainly well meaning) labor! Additionally, my two little sprays of flax are blooming ferociously now. Hopefully I will be able to at least save the seeds to sow along with significantly more flax next year.

Delicate little babies

Well, at least life is an adventure and my survival doesn’t rely on my paltry gardening skills!

About Me

I am an avid learner of things, maker of clothes (mostly), herder of cats, and hugger of sheep. I’m just trying to eke out a humble little existence in this delightfully weird wide world. Feel free to come along for the ride.
