The Fiberary

A personal blog about clothes, fiber arts, librarianship, books, and occasional bad poetry.

Finished yarn and other dalliances

I finished my yarn and emptied my bobbins! I even started spinning my flax and knitting socks. And then I got distracted.

Glorious squish

I’ve been reading much more lately, and also the dress I wanted to put off making until spring kept calling me like a siren, so I’ve been doing those things for a few days now instead of all the things I planned on doing this Fall.

That’s okay though, cause tomorrow I plan on eco printing and getting back on track, more or less.

Twist is set
Lellow

I will admit I forgot why I stopped spinning flax last summer, and was reminded when it told me very quickly that flax isn’t the same as wool and behaved accordingly. Insert affirmation about patience and perseverance and becoming good at something here.

Beginnings of flax into linen

Otherwise not much going on, I suppose. Soon it shall be Fall and I am counting down the days. Here are some cats:

Obi snoot
Alice being cute
Poe being silly
