Today I failed to catch a cat

There is a second kitten living by the dumpster at my library, and as the resident cat catcher I set up the trap this morning. The last time it took barely two hours, but this one is either clever or went somewhere else last night, since it didn’t show up all day.

Terrible quality photo of the newly elusive kitten. I always pay my cat tax.

I changed out the food this evening, so hopefully I will return to work tomorrow to see my labors rewarded.

In the meantime, though, today I did more eco printing, with mostly success–European mountain ash, I have learned, does not give a good print. This is good to know since the program I am doing is next week!

The oak and the maple did best here, though the color of whatever I used in the upper left was quite interesting

Everything I used today I gathered from near the library, so worst case scenario if I don’t have enough leaves I can easily get more.

Maple of different sorts, and maybe? sweetgum
Tulip poplar gives a really interesting green instead of purple, which is kind of refreshing and different

I really want to get my hands on some willow branches just to see if they do anything interesting.

The mountain ash I put in the middle and it looks even less defined now that it’s dry. Alas!

Overall I didn’t do many things today but I am definitely tired from doing them! Here’s hoping to ight I catch that kitten.
