The Fiberary

A personal blog about clothes, fiber arts, librarianship, books, and occasional bad poetry.

Wintering

This time of year is always difficult–it’s trauma season, it’s cold, and time in the sun is hard to find. I’ve been slowing down a lot and trying to accept that my body needs more rest and quiet than usual.

I’ve been crafting still, these past few months, though. Pics below.

I also got to sub on Flute 2 for the local symphony this past November! It was a very good experience for me to get out of my head and also play music again. I’ve been playing with the local community band, too.

Eleanor, Alice, and Poe
Skinny yarn to be plied and used as a warp
Quilting happening (by machine, unusual for me) hopefully to be done in time for winter gift giving
More yarn! Probably will end up using as a weft
Little hand quilted mug rug
My crowning achievement of the fall season, a medieval hood!

About Me

I am an avid learner of things, maker of clothes (mostly), herder of cats, and hugger of sheep. I’m just trying to eke out a humble little existence in this delightfully weird wide world. Feel free to come along for the ride.
