The Fiberary

A personal blog about clothes, fiber arts, librarianship, books, and occasional bad poetry.

I miss blogs of the old days

So I’m making one! Take that social media!

Had a gift in the mail today from a wonderful friend.

I can’t wait to learn more about flax, especially since my experiment of growing some this year has not yielded great results. This book is almost as old as I am, but besides any archaeological discoveries, I imagine not much has changed facts-wise.

Checked on my lil garden when I got home from work and found a whole entire zucchini out there! I need to look up when to harvest them. I’m sure we will be drowning in them soon. Cucumbers too. Maybe if I’m lucky some cherry tomatoes. The indigo I should have planted separately; I’m afraid it’s getting choked out.

Alas!

Lessons in plant spacing learned.

About Me

I am an avid learner of things, maker of clothes (mostly), herder of cats, and hugger of sheep. I’m just trying to eke out a humble little existence in this delightfully weird wide world. Feel free to come along for the ride.
