Project planning for summer/fall 2023

SCA garb

  • Veil — done!
  • Wimple — done!
  • Fillet — done!
  • Smock — done! (Finally! Months later!)
  • Mid-13th century cote — have fabric, just need to draft and mockup
  • Surcote — have pattern, maybe fabric? Check stash
  • Hose — this might become a winter project
  • Turn shoes? Buy these if possible

Everyday wear

  • Arthur pants by SewLiberated –have pattern, probably have fabric
  • Sophie dress by Ora Lin — have pattern, maybe have fabric
  • 10th century pants (might need to go under garb, we shall see) — will need to draft and mockup, then decide on fabric (I have a pumpkin linen that would do nicely but I might wanna use it for the Arthur pants instead)

Other projects

  • Spin and ply Southdown — 1.5/3 bobbins spun
  • Knit Southdown socks
  • Friendship basket quilt — 6/35 basket squares pieced — once done will need to get background fabric
  • Flax- European style spin — distaff acquired, flax acquired, need to clear my spindle and also practice this style of spinning wayyyy more
  • Weave- flax/linen — this might be a winter thing too

Priorities

  • Southdown socks (I really wanna get this off my wheel cause it is taking up all my bobbins)
  • 13th century cote (I wanna go to events!)
  • Quilt (I want to use it this winter, ideally– maybe a wool batting layer?)
